Wedding Decal & Vinyl Cut Files
Welcome signs on acrylic. Table numbers on gold vinyl. Favour tags and thank-you cards. Weddings are a small handful of designs, cut in a hundred different ways - the last thing anyone wants is to redraw the same monogram five times because the fonts don't match. CutPath Pro traces once, exports to every format, and lets you re-download for free.
What weddings actually cut
- Welcome sign on acrylic, foam board or reverse glass. Usually one large monogram plus a couple of lines of script.
- Table numbers & place cards - dozens of small vinyl cuts of numbers or names.
- Favour tags - die-cut printed labels, sometimes on kraft or textured card.
- Vow books & guest book covers - small monogram in HTV or foil vinyl.
- Chargers, glassware, wine bottles - small permanent-vinyl decals.
All of them start with the same problem: a lovingly designed monogram or piece of script that needs to become a machine-ready cut line without being redrawn.
From artwork to cut line
Upload the PNG (or JPG on a photograph of a hand-drawn monogram) to CutPath Pro. The trace follows every stroke - including the thin serifs and connecting flourishes script fonts are built on - and gives you a single continuous vector cut line. Offset defaults to a hair around the artwork so nothing weeds accidentally.
Delicate script? Push the offset out
Script fonts with hairlines lose their tails when the vinyl tears at weeding. If you're seeing that, nudge the offset from the 2.5 mm default up to 3–4 mm - the cut line stays clear of the thinnest strokes and the vinyl comes off in one piece. On chunkier serif and sans-serif fonts, 1–2 mm works cleanly.
Once, then re-cut for every element
The same monogram usually appears on the welcome sign, the favour tags, the thank-you cards and the vow book. That's four different sizes and possibly four different materials, but the cut file is the same. On CutPath Pro one credit unlocks the file and every re-download in every format is then free, so you don't get charged again to swap SVG for PDF or scale it up.
Vinyl choices, one file
The cut file is format-agnostic. The same SVG cuts on:
- Matte permanent vinyl for wood or acrylic signs.
- Gloss permanent vinyl for glassware.
- Iron-on HTV for fabric - mirror the file before cutting.
- Foil vinyl for accents.
Just change the machine setting for material type and blade depth. No re-tracing.
Frequently asked
Can I use a wedding decal file more than once?
Yes. One credit unlocks the design; every re-download in every format is then free. Cut the welcome sign, favour tags and thank-you cards from the same file without spending more credits.
Which vinyl for weddings?
Matte permanent for signs on acrylic or wood, gloss for glassware, iron-on HTV for fabric favours. Cut files are format-agnostic - the same SVG cuts on any of them.
Should text have an outline?
Only if the font has thin strokes that would tear on weeding. Push the offset out from delicate scripts to keep them intact.
